Process

How a lining job goes

From the first call to the last footage. Your quote sets the dates, and the crew writes down what it sees at each step.

  1. 01
    Day 1

Step 1: You call or send the form

Natalie asks what the drains are doing and when it started, and sets up the camera visit.

  2. 02
    Visit

    Step 2: Camera visit

A crew runs a camera down the line from the cleanout. You watch, and we mark the footage count at every defect.

  3. 03
    After

Step 3: The report and the plan

You get the footage, a written report and a plan: lining, bursting or a trench, with the reason and a written price.

  4. 04
    Before

    Step 4: Prep

We mark the pits, call for utility locates, and give you a notice of the day and the hours water use is held back.

  5. 05
    Work

    Step 5: Lining day

Clean the pipe, install the liner, cure it, reopen the side connections.

  6. 06
    Close

    Step 6: Final footage

We film the finished pipe, hand you the footage and tell you what to watch for.

Sample report

What we found, by the counter

The footage count is the distance from the cleanout. This sample is what a log looks like; yours has your pipe in it.

  • 00:12 · 9 ft

Cleanout. Pipe is clean and round.

  • 00:41 · 38 ft

Roots enter at an open joint.

Roughly a third of the pipe is blocked. Clear and line.

  • 01:05 · 52 ft

A dip that holds water for about four feet.

Check the slope. Mark for a short dig.

  • 01:30 · 71 ft

Clay joint offset by half a wall.

Line the run to cover it.

  • 01:52 · 84 ft

Tie-in to the street main. Clear.

    End of run.
